Lori is a native Texan who grew up in Abilene. She graduated from the University of Texas with an advertising degree. Her professional background is in marketing and graphic design. She currently owns her own marketing and design company.
She has always had a creative streak that she feels inherited from her mother. "I am always thinking of ways to create something." Lori loves using bright and bold colors in her artwork. " I tend to gravitate towards bold and striking colors in my everyday world" says Lori. She also tends to use metallic paint somewhere in her artwork as her creative signature. Her medium of choice is acrylic paints.
Lori met up with the Wine Women over ten years ago. It has been an opportunity to enjoy "good wine and good friends" away from the stresses of work. They have also been a good inspiration to her artistically. "I never really painted until I met them and I love the way our art inspires others."
“Painting has been a wonderful and enlightening experience for me. It has taught me how to bring out the best in my self expression. I have had the opportunity to paint with a great group of women. I hope those who choose to purchase our art enjoy it as much as I did when creating it.”
Her dream vacation would be to travel Scotland in the near future.
