Trained as a graphic artist, excelling at interior decoration and escaping into fine art, Sheri puts her all into anything she does.
Raised in San Marcos, Texas, her parents encouraged her to do whatever she wanted to in life. "After 4 years of piano lessons, my parents got the hint and I got to take painting lessons instead . . . I've been hooked ever since," says Sheri, who has been painting since she was 12.
With a tradition in creative expression, Sheri shares with her family an obsession for photography, gardening, travel and a love of architecture. She received a Bachelors degree in Fine Art from the University of Texas in Austin.
Sheri married her high school sweetheart. After years of corporate graphics, she now has her own design company and happily works out of her home between exotic trips to foreign lands. Sheri also enjoys home decor. "My husband says I should go to 'Walls Anonymous', I've gone through all our walls and have branched out to other people's homes."
Sheri has traveled extensively around the world. Travel has given Sheri a chance to see things in many different ways. She continues to bring her experiences with color and texture to her paintings.
When Sheri found the girls of Wine Woman in Oil, she discovered a renewed passion for painting and must now find new homes for her work, as she has outgrown her family and friends.
Her keen eye for design and affinity for photography has also become a source for painting themes. Her outstanding body of work ranges from the imagery of photo-realistic flowers to expressionistic abstracts. Her mastery of technique and her appreciation of color and light shines through her artwork.
